Parents are responsible for ensuring that dancers wear the proper bodysuit, shoes, and hair as per the requirements of each class.  No necklaces, no earrings (except studs), no dark or chipped nail polish, no bracelets including friendship bracelets, no heavy makeup, no anklets, no large rings. If your hair isn’t suitable you will be sent out of class to fix it. If you’re not wearing a bodysuit after three in-class requests, we will ask you to sit out the class.

All Dancers:  Please have a dedicated dance bag! It can be a back-pack, a dance bag, a carry-on suitcase with wheels, whatever you like.  But make sure to put ALL of your dance things in ONE place so that you know where to find them on Mondays.  Please LABEL all dance shoes and belongings. Every year things are left behind and lost because we can’t find the owner.

PreDance: Dancers may wear a bodysuit in pink, blue or black and a skirt of their choosing.

Ballet 1- 6: Black tank style bodysuit, no spaghetti straps.  Dancers may wear a close-fitting tank top over their bodysuit or a ballet sweater until they are warmed up.

All dancers must have pink leather ballet shoes, split sole or full sole, with the elastics firmly sewn in. *If you are purchasing new shoes this fall, please do not wear them until your child’s teacher has approved the size.  Ballet shoes need to fit like a glove:  do not purchase shoes that are loose as your dancer could trip and the teacher is unable to correct without seeing the feet properly.

All dancers must have Mondor or Capezio full footed tights in BALLET PINK.

All hair must be in a ballet hair bun, fully secured with a hairnet, bobby pins, hair band or clips.  No loose hair, no bangs, no ponytails.  Practice your ballet hair at home during the week so that it will be perfect on Class nights!

All dancers need a practice skirt for class.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop Girls: Black tank-style bodysuits and capezio or mondor full-footed tan tights.  They can wear t-shirts and dance pants over their bodysuits.   Hair in a ponytail with a hairband.  No loose bangs or pieces of hair.

Hip Hop Boys: Black pants or track pants, white tank top, short sleeved t-shirt, black socks.
